Our most eloquent sky portal yet, Sky Factory Aperture separates the perimeter frame from the SkyTile surface, thereby creating an oculus and triggering a spatial illusion that works from every viewing angle.
We begin with a gridless Luminous SkyTile. Then, we create an interstice between the circular trim frame and the back-lit image of sky. The gap that is created between trim and sky generates an illusion of extended space for the eye and mind by suggesting an actual opening to the outdoors.
