UCHealth Greeley Hospital and Medical Center
BSA LifeStructures created a community connection, maintained a cohesive brand, and promoted a healthy lifestyle in the design of the UCHealth Greeley Hospital and Medical Center in Greeley, Colorado.
The Greeley Campus represented an opportunity to implement the largest prototype consisting of a 3-story ambulatory care center on a 23-acre greenfield site. Near the end of construction documents, the market forces changed to drive the need for inpatient beds.
The Greeley Campus consists of a new, 4-story hospital connected to an adjacent 3-story Medical Center on a 23-acre greenfield site. The campus focuses on three primary goals: create a community connection; maintain a cohesive brand; and promote a healthy lifestyle. The design uses form and materiality to reference the surrounding landscape and landmarks nestled up to the Rocky Mountains. The layout and features connect patients to nature to benefit from its physical and spiritual healing properties resulting in a holistic healing experience. The Medical Center is a 3-story, 113,500 SF Ambulatory Care Center (ACC). The program includes outpatient oncology, rehabilitation, pre-admission testing, women’s imaging, and multi-specialty clinics. The clinics feature a “center stage” modular design composed of 10-12 exam rooms centered on a multidisciplinary care team station.
The Hospital is a 4-story, 212,000 SF facility that will feature 50-beds designed with the capability of expanding to 150 beds. The Hospital will provide the following services: intensive care, emergency, surgery, radiology, advanced cardiology, a birth center, as well as an in-house pharmacy.
