Spectrum Health desired to expand their services in the Rockford, Michigan area. A new Ambulatory Care facility at the intersection of US-131 and 10 Mile Road now offers access to enhanced patient care in northern Kent County, extending Spectrum’s team-based clinic care model for outpatient services. As outpatient services continue to expand, this new facility will be a critical resource for Spectrum’s continued growth.

The facility is cut into a large hill which helps provide a scale to the building while managing the sloping site. As patients are dropped off at the welcoming canopy they are greeted by a facility that is focused on providing a healing experience. TowerPinskter’s design solution for the 30,000 square foot facility includes urgent care, radiology and lab services on the first floor. The second floor provides primary care services in two clinic pods. The building is focused on a light-filled two-story lobby and waiting area. Each of the exam rooms and procedure rooms has windows providing natural light.
