Bangkok Hospital – Inpatient Ward Building D Floors 11 & 12
MADA design factory was tasked to renovate Bangkok Hospital’s inpatient wards with an “Urban Sanctuary” concept focusing on creating a comfortable environment using soothing colors and natural elements.
MADA design factory was invited to renovate the inpatient ward level 11th and 12th building D at Bangkok Hospital, located at the heart of Bangkok, Phetchaburi Road, Bangkok.
The work will focus on customer experience and integrated with a healthcare environment also described as a sanctuary of relaxation amidst the hustle and bustle of the medical environment, it strives to create an atmosphere conducive to healing and comfort.
“Urban Sanctuary” is our concept to create an interior space, color palette, elements, lighting and MEP work for diversion and relaxation during their stay. When entering the ward, one might notice soothing colors adorning the walls with a trim line, soft lighting that creates a calming ambiance with gentle of curve wall and round edge furniture. The layout is designed to promote tranquility & privacy, with comfortable reclining chairs or beds arranged in a manner that allows for privacy while still fostering a sense of calm and relaxation.
The design use of natural shade with minimal element that integrated interior with MEP work, some of dark grey mirror glass and dark timber shade to represent as the surrounding cityscape.
By blending elements of nature with the energy and diversity of urban life, an inpatient ward designed as an urban sanctuary can offer patients a respite from the challenges of hospitalization while promoting healing, rejuvenation, and a sense of connection to their urban surroundings.
