Seen Health PACE Center for Seniors
Langdon Wilson International designed Seen Health‘s new medical facility in Alhambra, emphasizing design elements to support seniors in staying active and connected to their community.
Seen Health’s new medical facility combines three former warehouse units into a unified space designed to support seniors in aging at home while remaining active and connected to their community. The culturally focused design reflects the diverse heritage of the local population, ensuring that care is both accessible and meaningful.
Designed by Langdon Wilson International, the project drew inspiration from the cultural diversity of the San Gabriel Valley, an area with one of the largest Asian and Pacific Islander senior populations in the U.S. Recognizing that this community has long been underserved, Seen Health chose the San Gabriel Valley as the site for its inaugural Program for All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) center.
PACE provides a comprehensive, “one-stop-shop” model of care, including primary and specialty care, restorative therapy, pharmacy services, nutrition, social services, transportation, and recreation. With a 50-year history of improving outcomes for seniors, PACE has achieved a 24% reduction in hospitalizations, consistent savings for Medicaid and Medicare, and enhanced participant care. Despite its proven benefits, fewer than 3% of the 2.5 million eligible seniors in the U.S. are currently enrolled.
By leveraging the proven PACE model, Seen Health’s first center aims to bridge gaps in senior care, fostering health, independence, and dignity for local elders.
