  • This two OR fit-out project, designed to support specialized vascular procedures, prioritizes patient comfort in a highly functional setting. The layout promotes efficient workflow and the aesthetic, a calming care experience.

Through a collaborative and thoughtful design process, the Daytona Beach Vascular Access Center emerged as a space that balances clinical functionality with a strong visual identity. Drawing inspiration from the soothing qualities of music, the interior design incorporates elements that reflect rhythm and harmony, creating a distinctive and uplifting atmosphere. This influence is most evident in the waiting area, where wooden members are arranged to evoke the frets of a guitar. These elements extend horizontally and then vertically to gently define the seating area, creating a sense of enclosure and focus without sacrificing openness or flow. At the client’s request, a rich, dark wood finish was incorporated to bring depth to the space, infusing it with a refined sense of sophistication and tranquility.

The clinical areas are designed to enhance workflow efficiency, ensure clear circulation, and prioritize patient comfort. From check-in through discharge, every element contributes to a seamless, stress reducing experience for both patients and staff.

Accent colors are used with intention and restraint, marking a deliberate shift from traditional design norms. Rather than dominating the space, color appears in architectural niches and refined details, introducing moments of surprise and playfulness while preserving the overall calm, cohesive palette.
This project exemplifies how specialized healthcare environments can successfully blend operational excellence with personal expression and visual storytelling to create a space that is not only highly functional but also emotionally engaging.
