  • The project for this medico-aesthetic clinic began with a thorough reflection on spatial organization and wayfinding. Four distinct functional areas—the medico-aesthetic clinic, consultation rooms, operating block, and boutique—needed to coexist seamlessly. The challenge was to ensure fluid circulation while giving each area its own identity, especially the more technical zones. Another key priority was creating a calming and reassuring environment to ease anxiety associated with surgical procedures.

A tunnel-like effect was devised to guide visitors toward a central reception. The waiting room was deliberately set apart to offer greater privacy and discretion. The boutique, strategically placed at both the entry and exit points of the visitor path, enjoys high visibility while remaining unobtrusive.

The concept is grounded in a timeless and refined design, heavily inspired by the building’s wooden structure. Great care was taken to conceal mechanical systems and ensure ceiling uniformity—a major technical challenge. Lighting was also thoughtfully studied to adapt to various atmospheres: sometimes soft and intimate, sometimes clinical and precise.

The project blends seamlessly into its architectural context and responds to the needs of a predominantly female clientele, who seek discretion, comfort, and modernity. The design’s sensitivity is conveyed through deliberate choices, combining curved and linear forms, and through a refined play of light and shadow. Despite the contrasts, the overall mood remains soft and soothing.

One of the most significant challenges was integrating the independent boutique. Folio Design approached this by emphasizing materiality, using distinctive textures and soft pink tones specific to that zone. Though the boutique is the visitors’ first point of contact, it blends harmoniously into the clinic’s overall identity, creating a cohesive and complete environment.
