Angelica Calva and MOVRA collaborated together to create the state-of-the-art facility of Oh Espacio Dental in Mexico City, Mexico.

Oh! Espacio Dental is a dental clinic located in one of the most popular neighborhoods in Mexico City, La Roma. Considering its location, the façade became the most important item to be recognized by people, whether they pass by walking, driving, or riding a bike.

The design was kept simple; it seeks to modify the perception of a traditional dental clinic, and instead, reflect an open space bathed with natural light, boosted with sophisticated and fresh interiors which convey into an atmosphere of serenity that emphasizes the comfort in the patient experience.

The program includes different levels of privacy; the first space to be met, is the public area, which allocates the reception and waiting area, designed to be a place where doctors and patients can casually meet and socialize. The next space, a semi-private area, it harbors five treatment rooms; and finally, the private areas consist of the main office, a lab room, an X-ray room and the staff cafeteria. These 3 areas are connected by a central circulation filled with glass partitions which brings a sense of amplitude, allowing patients and staff to easily move from one place to another.

The simplicity of the design is enriched through details employed on its millwork, sliding doors, custom-designed furniture, and Herman Miller’s chairs. The richness of the materials applied, such as oak wood, solid surfaces, glass walls, and a neutral color palette, gives the space a feeling of openness and warmth.
The graphic aesthetics were carefully curated to express a sober and organic brand that goes hand in hand with the corporate identity.
