  • Evoke Projects was tasked with transforming the space for the Life & Mind Psychology Clinic in Sydney, Australia.

Life & Mind Psychology relocated their Caringbah Practice due to outgrowing their previous location. They purchased a residential property and engaged Evoke for the Design and Fitout of what was previously a home.

There was a process involved for council approvals as the site required a change of use for medical use and extensive external works where required to provide adequate parking for staff and visitors as well as accessibility for DDA compliance.

The external works consisted of new secure parking to the rear of the property along with external ramps and new landscaping. New painting to some areas lifted areas of the building that where in need of a freshen up.

Internally reception and waiting areas, consult rooms, additional compliant amenities and staff rooms were created. All flooring was replaced as well as ceilings where additional acoustics were to be installed given the confidential nature of the business. Carpet and additional acoustic treatments to walls also helped minimise noise transfer between consult rooms.

The biggest transformation can be seen inside where a once dated residential interior now has a bright and fresh aesthetic for staff and patients visiting the practice. The look and feel plays on the colours coming through in the Life & Mind branding as well as emulating a coastal feel through cool blues, styling items and pieces of art. A calming and warm environment is achieved by introducing elements of timber and greenery through plant life, the feature wall lights in the corridors and consult rooms also bring a softness and sense of calm throughout the practice.

A mixture of furniture, soft seating and styling items adds personality to the space with a slightly different look to each consult room adding interest and a bespoke feel to the various rooms.
