  • Francis Cauffman designed Main Line Health’s Bryn Mawr Medical Office Building located in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.

Francis Cauffman was selected in 2014 by Duke Realty and Main Line Health to develop a 100,300 SF medical office building (MOB) for its growing Bryn Mawr Hospital campus. As a longtime partner of Main Line Health, the Francis Cauffman team was able to collaborate and provide efficiency in the design and construction schedule.

The new 4-story MOB houses a 24,000 SF ambulatory surgery center, 13,000 SF of primary care services and 10,000 SF of auxiliary space. The remaining space will be leased to additional tenants. The facility was designed with sustainable goals in mind and has achieved LEED Certification with the United States Green Building Council.

The planning team worked closely with users to determine on-stage/off-stage circulation patterns within the ambulatory surgical center. The Francis Cauffman team ensured an efficient clinical work flow with an emphasis on quality of patient care.

In collaboration with the Astoria Properties, Nuehealth and the Rothman Institute, a provider of world-renowned orthopedic specialty surgeries, Francis Cauffman assisted in the design of 6 operating rooms, 3 minor procedure operating rooms,13 pre-op bays, 15 PACU bays and 5 stage II recovery bays. The end result is a state-of-the-art medical office building that has enabled Main Line Health to upgrade its services for the Bryn Mawr hospital campus.
