Ryrie Healthcare Precinct
Calibre Healthcare Interiors transformed a heritage-listed building into the modern Ryrie Healthcare Precinct by preserving its structure, incorporating sustainable features, accessibility, and community-centric design elements.
How do you repurpose a heritage-listed building for modern health services? Calibre Interiors faced this challenge head-on when Bowery Capital approached them with an ambitious vision: transforming a landmark in Geelong CBD into a state-of-the-art Healthcare Precinct. The project required careful research, collaboration with heritage authorities, and creative solutions to preserve the integrity of the original structure. After navigating complex approval pathways, Calibre Interiors successfully aligned the site’s vision with diverse goals and community priorities, focusing on sustainability, accessibility, and cultural respect. By preserving the building’s structure, installing solar panels, and using local suppliers, Calibre delivered a project that honors the site’s history while meeting modern needs. The inclusion of DDA-compliant features, natural light, and thoughtful design elements ensured a welcoming and accessible environment for all.
