Clinique MSK Québec
MENDES design reimagined the MSK Clinic in Québec City with a stylish and durable aesthetic, resembling a spa with warm colors, natural light, and cozy employee lounge, meeting the client’s request.
Who would choose a doctor’s office over a day at the spa? MENDES Design sought to bring the best of both worlds into a single space. The MSK Clinic, specializing in physiatric care for musculoskeletal and joint issues, often welcomes patients who are tense or have limited mobility. So, why should they be greeted by the typical blue scrubs and greenish curtains?
MENDES Design has reimagined the MSK Clinic in Quebec City with a sophisticated, timeless aesthetic that prioritizes both style and durability. Low-maintenance vinyl floors with a wood-like appearance add warmth and practicality to the space. The clinic is designed to feel like a spa, with welcoming colors and natural light streaming through tall windows.
The employee lounge serves as a comforting retreat for staff, whether for a quick break or to unwind after a busy day. Warm wood tones and a dark, cozy design make the lounge kitchen a comforting refuge. Meanwhile, the offices and communal areas are brightened with lighter tones and ample sunlight to energize the space.
Despite the rigorous standards for healthcare materials, MENDES Design successfully transformed this new build into a medical clinic with a spa-like atmosphere, just as the client requested.
