  • The IVF Center at Bangkok Hospital is designed as a deeply human-centered environment, inspired by the emotional journey of couples seeking new beginnings. Rooted in the idea of shared time, intimacy, and care, the project is guided by the concept “A Piece of Time”—capturing meaningful moments of love, hope, and connection.

The design draws inspiration from the delicate form of a rose petal, symbolizing tenderness and the unfolding of life. This inspiration is translated into soft, continuous curves that flow seamlessly across walls, ceilings, and architectural elements. The absence of sharp edges creates a gentle and embracing spatial experience, allowing patients to feel comforted and supported throughout their journey.

Color plays a central role in shaping the atmosphere. A carefully curated palette of peach and nude tones is applied throughout the space—from floor to wall to ceiling—evoking warmth, softness, and emotional reassurance. These hues reflect the intimate and hopeful nature of IVF treatment, creating an environment that feels calm, nurturing, and quietly uplifting.

Lighting is designed to enhance this sense of ease and fluidity. Linear LED lighting, integrated within curved architectural forms, reinforces a smooth and continuous visual language while providing soft, indirect illumination. This approach minimizes visual stress and contributes to a tranquil, restful atmosphere.

In the waiting area, an artificial skylight introduces a subtle connection to nature, bringing a sense of openness and freshness into the interior. This feature creates a gentle contrast to the more intimate treatment spaces, offering patients a moment of relief and emotional balance.

Functional spaces such as examination rooms continue the design narrative through curved surfaces and seamless finishes, ensuring both privacy and comfort. The integration of form, light, and material supports clinical efficiency while maintaining a warm and welcoming environment.

The IVF Center moves beyond conventional medical design by focusing on emotional experience as a core element of healing. Rather than emphasizing technology, the space prioritizes human connection, comfort, and quiet reassurance—reflecting the deeply personal nature of the IVF journey.

Through the harmony of soft forms, warm tones, and thoughtful lighting, the project creates a space where patients feel held, supported, and hopeful. It is an environment that honors not only the science of fertility, but also the emotional depth of every moment within it—capturing, in essence, a meaningful piece of time
