Northwestern Medicine – Fourth Floor Buildout

  • area / size 33,000 sqft
  • Completed 2020
  • Anderson Mikos Architects was tasked with completing the fourth floor buildout at Northwestern Medicine in Glenview, Illinois.

A large check-in/check-out/waiting room, four clinics and a compounding pharmacy were created on the fourth floor of the existing building after demolition of the existing full floor tenant space. The four clinic spaces consisted of Dermatology/MOHS, Urology, Women’s Health, and Allergy.

Additional demolition and remodeling work was performed in areas on the third floor to create a large employee break room, which is also capable of accommodating large (50-100 people) corporate staff meetings. The former employee break room on the first floor was remodeled into a building receiving/storage room.

A compounding pharmacy on the floor was designed to meet current USP 800 standards and provide chemotherapy medication to the Glenview Cancer Center and other NM northern region centers. Additionally, roof screens were added to conceal the large pharmacy exhaust fans on the roof.
