The new child and adolescent psychiatry of the Euregio Clinic invites patients, relatives and clinic staff to “set off together” in order to actively promote the recovery process. In a joint exchange with doctors and employees, different therapy and recreation rooms have been created that pick up different regional topics and the local nature. The natural colours and materials used by bkp have an harmonious effect and create a calming atmosphere. At the same time, they meet all functional and hygienic requirements and give the patient orientation on their “therapy path”.

The patient rooms are designed differently for children and young people according to their age and interests. In the rooms intended for small patients between 6 and 12 years of age, for example, there is a tree house high up in the “treetop” for climbing and retreating.

The youth rooms for patients between 13 and 17 years of age take up topics typical for the surrounding region such as the use of a construction trailer as a booth. A site trailer painted with graffiti offers storage space for the utensils necessary for therapy, while patients can relax and chat on the wooden veranda in front.
